Presenter Rodrigo Hilbert revealed, during an appearance on the podcast Zen Vergonha, that he faced bouts of panic and depression while working as an actor at Rede Globo. The account details a period of professional uncertainties and emotional difficulties that led him to rethink his life trajectory.
During the conversation with Fernanda Lima, Hilbert explained that although he pursued various job opportunities, as a model and actor, he did not feel professional fulfillment. He reported that, at the time, he had difficulty expressing his feelings and avoided relaxation practices suggested by his wife, such as yoga.
The turning point for the artist occurred after a traffic incident. Hilbert shared that he suffered a 'blackout' behind the wheel when leaving Projac, resulting in a minor rear-end collision with another vehicle. The episode, accompanied by chest palpitations, served as a wake-up call regarding his mental health state.
After the accident, the presenter began to accept Fernanda Lima's support to seek self-knowledge. He highlighted that his wife's encouragement to practice yoga and learn how to breathe was essential for him to start understanding his own needs and emotions.
The transition to the field of gastronomy was driven by a question from Fernanda Lima. When asked what he really liked to do, the artist was encouraged by his wife to follow his passion for the kitchen, which resulted in his current career on GNT's show 'Tempero de Família'.
