Candidates who failed the second stage of the National Exam for the Revalidation of Medical Diplomas (Revalida 2025/2) can file appeals against the preliminary results released last Tuesday (28). The deadline for contesting ends this Friday (31) and the procedure must be carried out exclusively through the Inep Revalida System.
To access the preliminary results of the skills test, the professional must log in to the platform using their Gov.br portal account. Inep has also made available the final versions of the Expected Procedure Standard (PEP), which serve as the detailed answer key for the ten stations of the practical assessment.
Revalida is a process organized by the Ministries of Education and Health to verify whether doctors trained abroad possess the necessary competencies to practice in Brazil, following the guidelines of the Unified Health System (SUS). The exam consists of two phases: one theoretical and one practical.
It is important to emphasize that the exam does not function as a public competitive examination for filling positions, but serves to certify that the foreign diploma is compatible with the requirements of Brazilian universities. The effective revalidation is carried out by public higher education institutions that have joined the program.
According to the official schedule, the release of the appeal results and the final result of the second stage are scheduled for September 4. After confirming approval, doctors must follow the instructions for indicating the partner university responsible for the revalidation process.
