At 57 years old, artist Jennifer Lopez owned an apartment in the famous 432 Park Avenue building in Manhattan, with an estimated value of R$ 76 million. She and her then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez decided to put the property up for sale in 2019, claiming that the space no longer met the family's needs when the children were together.
The apartment had 372 square meters, distributed across three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The kitchen was custom-designed with built-in appliances, while the master suite featured two bathrooms, marble cladding, a large sink, and heated floors. Access to the unit was provided by a private elevator.
The building offered residents high-end amenities: a 22-meter indoor pool, concierge service, gym, yoga studio, screening room, and an exclusive restaurant. The monthly condo fee for the property was approximately US$ 8,331.
According to sources heard by the press at the time, the couple liked the building but considered the apartment too small to accommodate everyone comfortably. This perception led to the decision to sell for the same price paid at acquisition, US$ 15.3 million.
432 Park Avenue is known for its prime location near Central Park and for housing some of the most expensive residences in New York. However, the building also accumulates complaints from residents regarding issues such as leaks, elevator failures, excessive noise, and structural movement caused by strong winds, even being described by one resident as a place where "everyone hates each other here."
Jennifer Lopez, born in the Bronx in 1969, built her fortune through a multifaceted career that includes music, film, television, production, and ventures in the beauty and fragrance industries.
