Upon reaching the intersection, it does not stop and crashes into a car traveling along Ferroviários Street, which had the right of way. After the collision, one of the cars is thrown toward the sidewalk and, out of control, hits a hot dog stand. A worker from the stand was hit and, due to the impact, fell to the ground. He injured his leg, received medical attention, and was released to go home. In addition to him, four other people – drivers and occupants of the vehicles – were injured. One of them also sustained moderate injuries and received medical attention. Residents of the area claim that accidents at the intersection are frequent. Between January and May 2026, 11 accidents were recorded on Ferroviários Street. On Maceió Street, there were 5 accidents in the same period. The Curitiba City Hall informed that technicians from the Municipal Transit Secretariat will evaluate the intersection.
