Hot dog vendor assaulted; suspect arrested hours later in Cabo Frio\nCivil Police\nA hot dog vendor had his motorcycle and cell phone stolen during an assault in the early morning of this Monday (22), in the Jardim Esperança neighborhood, in Cabo Frio, in the Lagos Region of Rio. Hours later, the Civil Police located one of the suspects, recovered the victim's belongings and seized the weapon used in the crime.\nAccording to the 126th Police Precinct (126th DP), the victim was working in a trailer when he was approached by two armed men.
\nCriminals announced the robbery and fled taking a motorcycle and a cell phone toward the Unamar district.\nAfter the crime, the victim managed to track the stolen phone and passed the information to the Civil Police. \nAccording to the police, residents reported that there was movement at the location during the early morning. In the operation, agents located a man in a room at the back of the residence, exactly at the point indicated by the phone tracking.\nFurthermore, according to the Civil Police, the suspect tried to resist the approach and engaged in a physical struggle with the agents.
\nWith him, police seized a .38 caliber revolver loaded with five intact rounds, the stolen cell phone and clothing that would have been used during the assault, identified by the victim.\nWith the support of the Military Police, officers conducted searches at another nearby property and found the stolen motorcycle hidden at the location. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner, who did not have insurance.\nAt the same address, agents found evidence of the operation of a clandestine motorcycle chop shop.
\nA second motorcycle, with signs of tampering and a filed chassis, was also seized.\nThe suspect was taken to the 126th DP and remained under arrest in flagrante.
