The men who committed the crime told the victims that they were looking for money and weight-loss pens - injectable medications for diabetes and obesity control.

They were wearing the hoods of the jackets they were wearing and surgical masks. One of them went to the back of the store and the other went to the employee who was at the register.

Both were armed. RPC, an affiliate of TV Globo in Paraná, found that, in total, three employees and two customers were held - one of them arrived at the location while the crime was happening. Victims were taken to the back of the pharmacy, and robbers stole weight-loss pens. Then, the men fled on foot.

There is no record of injuries. The robbers were not found, and the victims filed a police report. In a note sent to RPC, the Nissei pharmacy chain informed that it has reinforced security protocols.
