First week of winter expected to bring storms, frosts, and thermometers below 0ºC in PR Paraná is expected to record rain, frost, and low temperatures - including below 0ºC - in this first week of winter, according to the Environmental Monitoring and Technology System (Simepar). According to Simepar, there are conditions for storms throughout the state and, due to the rapid movement of the system, wind gusts exceeding 60 km/h are forecasted.

Across the North, Campos Gerais, and East (in border areas with São Paulo), there is still a chance of passing rain showers due to a cold front moving slowly over the ocean. "A strong incursion of cold air favors a sharp drop in temperatures on Tuesday. In this context, weak to moderate intensity frosts are expected from the West to the Center and the Curitiba Metropolitan Area (RMC), with a possibility of heavy-intensity frosts in the South-Central region". Meteorologists also state that on Thursday (25), the weather will stabilize across all regions and the cold will spread. On Friday (26), the weather pattern will change very little, maintaining stable conditions and intense cold.

"Minimum temperatures will remain below 5ºC, with negative marks between the South-Central and Southeast. During Saturday (27), rain will return to Paraná, with potential for thunderstorms".
