During searches in public security systems, investigators identified that the man had an open arrest warrant issued by the Judiciary of the city of São Paulo, also for threats. The police then identified that the man was scheduled to participate in the Metropolitan 7-a-side Football Championship final match in Curitiba this Sunday. A team went to the club where the final was taking place and approached the athlete moments before he entered the field. The man was taken to the Public Jail of Curitiba. The championship final began without further incidents. In a statement, Rodofut7 informed that it was unaware of any pending legal issues involving the athlete. "The club reinforces its total respect for the decisions of the competent authorities, fully cooperating with the procedures adopted. Rodofut7 reaffirms its commitment to ethics, transparency, and respect for the rules governing sport and society," the statement reads.
