The carpenter was released late Thursday afternoon (18), 53 hours after being detained, after the family reported the situation to RPC, a TV Globo affiliate in Paraná, and the reporting team questioned the Civil Police (PC-PR) about the case. However, upon recognizing the error and requesting the release of the innocent man, the Civil Police admitted that they confused the people due to the similarity of the names. "In the eagerness to fulfill our duties with zeal, our team made an excusable error. Considering the small locality of Imbituva, it was practically impossible for a homonym to exist. However, the research and diligence carried out by the police team ended up erroneously falling on a homonym. Thus, it is truly verified that the person of Felipe Penteado, currently imprisoned, is a homonym of the person of Wanderson Felipe Lick Penteado, who used the profile on the social network Facebook as 'Felipe Penteado'", wrote the corporation. The document also includes a printout of the social media profile of the true target and also requests the adjustment of the judicial order for the issuance of an arrest warrant for Wanderson.
