Some internet users joked about the situation and associated the alert with fictional scenarios, such as alien invasions and mysterious messages. In Belo Horizonte (MG), residents reported that the message with unusual content mentioned an alien invasion: "Protect yourself: ALIEN ATTACK, HUMANS WE HAVE ARRIVEDmisanthrope".
