Producer from PR innovates on the internet with the cultivation of varied vegetables Colorful cauliflower, black diamond tomato, and even pear tomato (yellowish). These are some of the differentiated crops that producer Natielle Pereira maintains in her garden in Rio Azul, in the central region of Paraná. The production began with three common garden beds that gained colors, shapes, and new varieties after the space was expanded last year. According to Natielle, the desire to change the garden arose after seeing videos from foreign content creators with similar proposals. Currently, the space, which covers more than 100 square meters and features an organized structure with bricks and a greenhouse, houses more than 20 species of greens and vegetables. ✅ Follow the g1 PR channel on WhatsApp The difference lies in the variety of exotic items that the producer searched for on the internet to see if she could cultivate them in Brazil. Among the highlights are rare varieties of tomato, such as a species with stripes on the skin, called tiger tomato, as well as kale with replicated leaves. All the routine of planning, construction, and management of the space is shared by Natielle on social media, where she shows the daily life and the evolution of the property. Isolation: It is necessary to isolate the area to prevent animals from entering and damaging the garden beds. Soil management: Soil preparation is essential. If necessary, the soil should be turned and corrected using limestone or organic matter available on the property itself. The secret of "companion plants" The agronomist explains that placing foods with similar characteristics close together helps soil biology and increases profitability. This technique is called intercropping. "For example, lettuce and carrots are considered companion plants. Radish and lettuce as well. They are intercropped, which benefits soil biology and allows for greater production profitability. In other words, you can produce more", says Albino. For those who are starting, Natiella gives the advice she applies in her own routine: take one step at a time. "I always say: start slow. Look at the space and what you have. I learn things from the garden and try to pass that on to people, starting with the sun's position. I love everything here, so for me, it's easy to take care of it", the producer concludes.
