Car catches fire and pages of Bible that were inside remain intact, in PR A car was completely destroyed after catching fire, but a Bible that was inside it remained with the pages intact. The case happened in Cornélio Procópio, in Northern Paraná.
The car owner, Márcio Faccioli, 43, said that the Bible was on top of the vehicle's glove compartment. Images taken by him show that its cover and edges were burned.
But, when opened, it is possible to see that the pages were not compromised. See the images above.

It was preserved. For me, it was a very emotional situation. It impacted the entire community here in my city and the region. It was God's doing", he told g1.

He remembers that he had left the vehicle running in the garage, while he went to the kitchen to have a coffee. Upon returning, he noticed that there were flames near the car's battery, which were spreading rapidly. "I've had this car for about ten years. Every morning I take it, turn it on, and come to the kitchen to have a quick coffee. I've had this practice with it for several years and, this time, it was no different. Only, to my surprise, when I returned to the garage to get it, it was already starting to catch fire. There wasn't much to do, it was very fast", he said.
The Fire Department was called and managed to contain the flames. Even so, the car was completely destroyed and could not be recovered. According to the owner, the vehicle did not have insurance.
Márcio is self-employed and works with clothing resale. He said that the car was full of merchandise when it caught fire and everything was lost. He estimates a loss of approximately R$ 35,000.
Despite the damage, the fire did not reach the house, where Márcio lives with his wife, sister, and a three-year-old daughter. No one was injured.
Although the loss was great, Márcio believes that the preservation of the Bible was a divine sign. Therefore, he says he will keep it as a souvenir in a frame with the phrase: "Here was the hand of God".
"It was the hand of God that held this fire, because, otherwise, only God knows where we would be at this moment. I could have lost the house, the family, so this Bible shows that the hand of God passed here", he concludes.
