Truck detaches from platform, crushes cabin of vehicle transporting it, and passenger dies in Paraná

Serious accident blocks stretch of PR-445 highway in the Londrina region This Tuesday (16), a truck caused an accident after detaching from the platform on which it was being transported, on PR-445, between the Warta district and Bela Vista do Paraíso, in Northern Paraná. Upon shifting, it crushed the cabin of the second truck carrying out the transport.

RPC, TV Globo's affiliate in Paraná, verified that the driver was pulled from the wreckage and taken to a hospital. However, the passenger did not survive his injuries and died at the scene.

There was no official identification of the victim until the last update of this report. ✅ Follow g1 Londrina and region on WhatsApp Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), Fire Department, and Military Police are at the scene. PR-445 was interdicted, with vehicle queues in both directions.

Partial clearance is scheduled for 1:00 PM. The Samu helicopter was at the stretch to await the rescue of the victims, but returned to base after the passenger's death was confirmed. The driver was treated in the ambulances.
