Mantenha a constância nos treinos mesmo nos dias frios

With the arrival of colder days, lack of willingness and thermal discomfort can become major obstacles to practicing physical activities. However, maintaining regularity in workouts during winter is essential for physical and mental health. With a few simple routine adjustments, it is possible to train safely, avoid injuries, and keep the body active.

1. Dedicate more time to warm-up

In the cold, blood vessels contract and muscles take longer to reach the ideal exertion temperature. Therefore, the warm-up should be longer and more progressive. Spend 5 to 10 minutes on dynamic movements, such as high knees, torso rotations, and light jumping jacks, preparing the cardiovascular system before starting the main activity.

2. Prioritize joint mobility

The feeling of cold naturally causes the body to contract, which can increase muscle stiffness. Including mobility exercises for major joints, such as hips, shoulders, and ankles, helps improve the range of motion and reduces the risk of strains or discomforts during the execution of exercises.

3. Adapt the workout location on colder days

If the wind or outdoor temperature is too low, consider moving your workout indoors. Activities like jump rope, bodyweight functional circuits, or using gym equipment in sheltered locations avoid excessive exposure to the freezing wind and help maintain performance.

4. Adjust intensity gradually

There is no need to chase performance records on colder days. A good alternative is to use interval training, alternating moderate periods of exertion with moments of active recovery. This keeps the heart rate under control and the body warmed up in a balanced way.

5. Take care of recovery and post-workout

When finishing the workout, avoid staying in clothes damp with sweat, as body temperature drops quickly. Change clothes as soon as possible, do a light stretch, and stay hydrated—warm teas and water are excellent allies for post-exercise comfort.

Important note: Since each organism reacts differently to the weather, it is recommended to consult a physical education professional or a doctor to adapt workouts in an individualized and safe way, especially if you have any pre-existing health condition.
