5 estratégias práticas para manter a constância nos treinos durante o inverno

1. Focus on the initial warm-up

On cold days, the body needs extra time to prepare for physical effort. Start with light and progressive movements, such as walking in place, jumping jacks, or joint rotations for a few minutes before starting the main workout. This helps raise body temperature gradually and improves joint lubrication.

2. Wear appropriate layered clothing

Choosing clothes is fundamental for thermal comfort. Prefer to dress in layers, using pieces that are easy to remove as the body warms up. Fabrics that help evaporate sweat are ideal to avoid the feeling of cold caused by moisture on the skin after finishing exercises.

3. Adapt the workout location on colder days

If the wind or outdoor temperature is too discouraging, change your strategy. Perform activities in closed and controlled environments, such as fitness rooms, your own living room, or the gym. Bodyweight exercises, stretching, and indoor circuits are excellent alternatives to avoid breaking your rhythm.

4. Modulate intensity with common sense

Respect your body's limits in winter. If you feel greater muscle stiffness or difficulty starting movement, reduce the load or speed and increase preparation time. The important thing is to maintain regularity and safety, avoiding unnecessary overloads on intensely cold days.

5. Take care of hydration and post-workout recovery

In winter, the sensation of thirst usually decreases, but the body still needs water to function well and recover muscles. Keep a bottle nearby at all times. After physical activity, bundle up quickly to avoid thermal shock and prioritize a warm shower to relax the muscles.

Note: If you have medical restrictions, chronic pain, or are resuming physical activities, consult a physical education professional or a doctor for personalized guidance.
