5 dicas de planejamento financeiro para o inverno

1. Pay attention to the electric shower and heaters

Focus: Control of energy consumption for heating.

Action: The electric shower is one of the biggest energy consumers in the Brazilian winter. Try to reduce shower time and, if possible, avoid using maximum temperature continuously. For portable heaters, use them only in the room you are in and keep doors closed to retain heat.

2. Take advantage of natural heating

Focus: Residential energy efficiency.

Action: Open curtains and windows during the day in spots where the sun hits directly to warm rooms naturally. At dusk, close everything to retain heat inside the house, reducing the need to turn on lights prematurely or run electrical appliances.

3. Plan clothing and bedding purchases

Focus: Conscious consumption of seasonal items.

Action: Before buying coats, blankets, or heaters, take inventory of what you already have at home. If you really need to buy something, research prices in advance, compare stores, and, if you can wait, take advantage of end-of-season sales.

4. Prioritize homemade meals

Focus: Food economy.

Action: In the cold, the tendency to order food via apps tends to increase, which can weigh heavily on the monthly budget. Preparing broths, soups, and hot drinks at home is a cozy, healthy, and much more economical alternative than frequently resorting to delivery services.

5. Monitor and review utility bills

Focus: Fixed expense management.

Action: Closely monitor water and electricity bills to identify sudden increases. If you notice consumption much higher than expected, review household habits or check if maintenance is needed on older appliances that may be failing and consuming more energy.
